Our lovely friend Hayley runs a mama’s touch - a baby massage course that hopes to bring a little extra to your baby massage.
The courses are held in the clean and homely, open plan living space of Hayley's family home. Each mother and baby are provided with their own area within the space, equipped with a soft mat for baby, fresh towels and massage oil. There are toys, nappies and wipes, and refreshments for all. Whilst there is a structure to each of the four sessions, they are as informal as possible so that it allows you to feed your baby as and when necessary, and ask any questions that you may have as you go along.
Each week you will be provided with course material for anything covered in that session so that you can use the strokes at home. Often when experiencing massage for the first time babies can be a little restless, especially when learning moves to help colic, wind and constipation, having copies of anything learnt at home can be a valuable reference so that you can help your baby get used to any new sensations with practise.
On offer is a 4 week Baby Massage Introductory Course, a two week Baby Massage Advance Taster and 90 minute Baby Massage Drop Ins.
